Sunday Minnetonka and Calhoun

Thanks to everyone who said hi today! Jeep guy, and early mothers day lady, and the folks at Maynard's in Minnetonka. I was pleasantly caught by surprise today with the time on SUP board with a few new discoveries.

First, the 'swirlies' are spectacular from the SUP perspective. By swirlies I mean the vortex paddle marks that spin behind the forceful paddle thrusts you get while boarding.

Secondly, Lake Calhoun was a welcome pre-summer traffic jam of activity. The cars of summer finally made appearances after being cooped up in garages with their owners. However the muffled sounds of revving motorcycles and restored classic cars felt more enjoyable from the comfort of placid waters 200 yards off shore.

Last, it's so easy to embark on a quick ride with an SUP. No rigging, no setup.
